FLEXIBLE PCB / MEMBRANE / FSR
FSR Membrane Force Sensor Custom Example
A custom example: an FSR (force-sensing resistor) membrane sensor one customer ordered from us. The harder it is pressed, the lower its resistance, so it can sense how strongly it is pressed. It combines a flexible sensing film, a signal-conversion circuit and companion software, and can bend to fit the product. If you have your own membrane idea, talk to our team.
This is one custom example, not a standard product. Size, shape, sensing range and circuit can all be redesigned for your product; please contact our team. Note: FSR is not suitable for precise weighing such as scales.
General specifications
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| ① Sensing element | Special carbon paste printed on flexible film; ultra-thin and bendable |
| ② Circuit module | Divider circuit turns resistance into voltage for an MCU; an op-amp option improves sensitivity and linearity |
| ③ Software | Real-time capture and visualisation, with analysis and export |
| Layers (top to bottom) | Top PET → piezoresistive carbon → spacer adhesive → insulating ink → silver traces → bottom PET → backing adhesive |
| Unpressed | Particles dispersed; high resistance (typically >1MΩ) |
| Pressed | Particles pack closer; resistance drops with force (contact + quantum tunnelling) |
Dimensions & construction
